BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE - ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟ ΣΗΜΕΙΩΜΑ
Yannis Sakellarakis (1936-2010) was a Greek archaeologist of international calibre who specialized in Minoan prehistory. He was the excavator of many sites including Archanes, the Idean Cave, and Zominthos on Crete, as well as on Kythera. His life partner and archaeologist Efie Sapouna Sakellaraki has served the Greek Ministry of Culture from various posts and excavated many sites on the islands of Euboea and Crete (Archanes and Zominthos).
