SCOPE AND CONTENT

The collection contains 1,264 slides that Wiliiam P. Henry created in 1959-1960, the year he attended the ASCSA program, in Greece and Egypt. The slide collection is accompanied by a logbook which identifies location and people in the images.  In addition to the slides, there are six hand-written loose-leaf notebooks written by W. P. Henry when he was a student, and a copy of Greek Historical Writing.

This large slide collection has not been catalogued yet. To facilitate research, however, volunteer Danae Bassante transcribed Henry's notes from his logbook to an excel sheet which is available as a PDF here. (The transcribed notes have not been edited.) In addition, a selection of 58 slides that depict East Attica (slides 4-1 - 4-59 in the logbook) are available in a PDF document here. (The digitized slides are unedited.)
