Ένα νέο βιβλίο για τον συγγραφέα Άγγελο Τερζάκη (1907-1979), κορυφαίο εκπρόσωπο της περίφημης "Γενιάς του 1930", δημοσιεύτηκε πριν από λίγο καιρό. Βασισμένο σε έρευνα στο προσωπικό αρχείο του Τερζάκη που φυλάσσεται στα Αρχεία της Αμερικανικής Σχολής Κλασικών Σπουδών, ο συγγραφέας του, Θανάσης Αγάθος, διερευνά τη σχέση του Τερζάκη με τον ελληνικό κινηματογράφο της δεκαετίας του 1950.

Η Γεννάδειος Βιβλιοθήκη απέκτησε έναν εξαιρετικά σπάνιο οθωμανικό χάρτη

Η Γεννάδειος Βιβλιοθήκη απέκτησε μία εξαιρετικά σπάνια έκδοση ενός από τα πιο εμβληματικά έργα οθωμανικής προπαγάνδας του 1916. Με τον τίτλο «Εκδίκηση», ο χάρτης αποτυπώνει το θρήνο για την απώλεια πολλών οθωμανικών περιοχών στην Ευρώπη κατά τη διάρκεια των Βαλκανικών Πολέμων, αποδίδοντας -με δραματικό τόνο- τα χαμένα εδάφη ‘λουσμένα’ σε μαύρο χρώμα.
