Ron Stroud Accepts Aristeia Award at AIA Annual Meeting

Professor Ron Stroud (Klio Distinguished Professor of Classical Languages and Literature Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley) accepted his award for Distinguished Alumni/ae of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens at the AIA meetings in Seattle.

Blegen Library’s Collection Reorganization Project Finishes

The shifting of the entire library collection, which began in the Spring of 2012 with the installation of compact shelving, was completed this month.

The opening of the exhibition took place on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 8:00p.m. A colloquium "Anatolia Revisited, 1821-1922. Archaeological Explorations & the Legacy of Greece" was held in Cotsen Hall from 2-7p.m.

Kenchreai, Eastern Port of Corinth: Discoveries from the Excavations on Koutsongila

Excavation Co-Directors Joe Rife and Elena Korka issue a full report on ASCSA-affiliated excavations at Kenchreai. Digging during 2007-2009 produced many important discoveries including lavish buildings perhaps representing a residential quarter; a ritual-structure and pyre debris on the slope above the town; a sprawling cemetery; and a Late Antique octagonal building of great significance.
