About Carol Stein

Carol Stein joined the Publications Office in 2002, serving initially as a project editor before becoming managing editor in 2005 and director of publications in 2016. As director, she oversees the production of monographs as well as the journal, works with excavation directors and authors to develop assigned monographs, and explores new ways of disseminating the work of the School. Stein served as assistant editor at the American Journal of Archaeology and copyediting coordinator at University of Michigan Press, and has excavated and conducted survey in both Italy and Greece. An alumnus of the School, she received a B.A. in Classical Art and Archaeology from the University of Michigan, and an M.A. in Archaeology from Boston University.
