Research Topic: Excavations in the Sanctuary of the Great Gods on Samothrace, Greece

Miltiadis Kylindreas is a Ph.D. candidate at Emory University, specializing in ancient Greek architecture. He received his Bachelor's degree in Archaeology and History of Art and his Master's degree in Classical Archaeology from the University of Athens. His dissertation focuses on the politics of architectural reconstruction of ancient Greek monuments in modern Greece. He is also interested in architectural proportions and digital mapping of ancient Greek temples.

Miltos is currently a member of the American Excavations Samothrace team, and previously, he worked at the Athenian Agora Excavations since 2012. Besides fieldwork, he created a digital map, which was published on the Dipylon Society website in January 2020. Miltos incorporated 84 buildings from his Master's thesis, entitled "The Tetrastyle Prostyle Temple in Relation to the Distyle in Antis Oikos from the Archaic to Hellenistic Periods." This study visualized the architectural development and geographical distribution of the buildings throughout the Mediterranean.
