Research Topic: Environmental History, Foodways and Ritual Practices in the 1st Millennium BCE Peloponnese
Kyriaki is a Malcolm H. Wiener Laboratory Post-Doctoral Research fellow. She has extensive experience in archaeobotanical research, both in the field and in the laboratory. Over the past years she has been involved in various excavations in Greece and Cyprus. Through the combination of archaeobotanical and scientific techniques, she aims to better understand the agricultural products, the husbandry regimes, the crop management and the dietary habits developed in the Eastern Mediterranean during the 2nd and 1st millennium BCE. The principal objective of her current project is the understanding of the agricultural economies and the domestic and ritual activities of the 1st millennium BCE Peloponnese.
