Research Topic: From Extraction to Application: The Craft and Technology of Color in Antiquity
Alice Clinch is the Wiener Laboratory Research Associate Fellow for 2024-25. She is currently completing her PhD in History of Art and Archaeology at Cornell University, on the use of pigments and painted wall plaster in Classical-Hellenistic domestic architecture. At the Wiener Laboratory, Alice will be working on her postdoctoral project, studying pigment and fresco assemblages from Sicily and the east Aegean.
