Information Session for the Academic Program

Please join us online, on Zoom, at 1:00pm (ET) on Tuesday, September 17, for the first of three Information Sessions about the ASCSA Academic Year Program. All prospective applicants to the Academic Year Program for 2025/2026 are welcome. The event requires online registration in advance.

Later sessions will be offered at 11:00am (ET) on Monday, October 21, and at 2:00pm (ET) on Wednesday, December 4.

Format of the Sessions

For the Information Session on September 17, Alicia Dissinger (Programs Administrator), Denver Graninger (Andrew W. Melon Professor), and Paula Perlman (Chair of the Committee on Admissions and Fellowships) will present overviews of the application process, the Academic Year Program, and living in Athens. Two recent participants in the Academic Year Program, will reflect on the impact of their year at the ASCSA on their work and careers.  The session will be about one hour, with ample time for Q&A.

These events offer you the opportunity to find out more about the program and get your questions answered before the application deadline. The deadline to apply to the ASCSA Academic Year Program for 2025/2026 is January 15, 2025.

The recent Academic Year Program participants for each information session will be:

  • October 21 session: Sophie Cushman (PhD Candidate, Berkeley) and Steven Brandwood (Post-doctoral Fellow, Columbia)
