Videocast: A Decent Burial: Commemoration and Community in Roman Corinth

Kathleen Slane, NEH fellow at ASCSA in 2010-11, is spending most of her time in Corinth. On October 19, she came to Athens to speak to a large and enthusiastic audience about the variety of forms of commemoration of death represented at Corinth in Roman times. Kathleen, professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia, is currently completing her study of Roman pottery from ASCSA’s excavations in the East of the Theater area at Corinth.

This year we are able to share videocasts of presentations worldwide via the Internet thanks to the generosity of Alex Zagoreos, president of the Board of Overseers of the Gennadius Library.
