Jonathan Hall, Professor of History and Classics at The University of Chicago, and his students visited the ASCSA Archives on May 20. We talked about Schliemann and Blegen, read parts of Ventris's letter to Blegen announcing his decipherment of Linear B ( I also suggested that they read the "Riddle of the Labyrinth" by Margalit Fox in order to understand Alice Kober's contribution), and finished by reciting parts of George Seferis's "The King of Asine."  A very engaging group of students.
