Storage Issues Lead to Excavation of Loring Apotheke

A new School policy will address the build-up of unclaimed luggage currently stored in Loring Hall’s apotheke and will enhance the usefulness of the storage facility going forward.
Many items have been stored in the apotheke for more than a decade, and there is no longer enough space for current residents to safely store their luggage. This summer, an effort was made to identify and label items currently in storage in preparation for their removal to a temporary storage unit next summer, so that the apotheke can be painted and storage lockers installed. Items not claimed by June 2012 will be discarded.
The new storage policy, effective September 2011, will permit School Members to store their luggage in the apotheke free of charge and keep possession of a locker for one year after their membership lapses. After that period a small escalating annual rental fee will be charged.
