Evi Touloupa's death was announced in all Greek newspapers. Here I copy the first paragraph from Nikos Vatopoulos's tribute in Kathimerini, titled "Έφυγε η μεγάλη κυρία της αρχαιολογίας":

"Μορφή της Αρχαιολογίας, παιδαγωγός και προσωπικότητα μεγάλης εμβέλειας και καλλιέργειας, η Έβη Τουλούπα έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 97 ετών. Συνδέθηκε με την Εφορεία Ακροπόλεως (ήταν έφορος την περίοδο 1982-1990) και εργάστηκε μεθοδικά για την ανάγκη νέου μουσείου Ακροπόλεως, για τη συντήρηση της επιφάνειας των μνημείων Ακροπόλεως καθώς και για τη μετατροπή του κτιρίου Βάιλερ σε Κέντρο Μελετών Ακροπόλεως. Το έργο της ήταν πολύπλευρο."

“A major figure in the field of archaeology, educator and a person of great stature and culture, Evi Touloupa passed away at the age of 97. She was associated with the Acropolis Ephorate (she was Ephor from 1982-1990) and worked methodically for the cause of a new Acropolis museum, for the preservation of the Acropolis monuments, as well as for the conversion of the Weiler building into the Acropolis Studies Center. Her work was multifaceted.”
