On June 4, 2010 the School of Art History and Cultural Policy University College Dublin in association with The Irish Institute of Hellenic Studies at Athens organized a symposium entitled “Orientalism and Anglo-Irish scholarship 1740-1810 in the Gennadius Library, Athens ” sponsored by the UCD College of Arts and Celtic Studies: Research Strand in Material and Visual Culture. The symposium ended with a special viewing of the rare volumes on which the presentations were based at the Gennadius Library (at the Mandilas Rare Book Reading Room). The book exhibit was a forum of interesting discussions among the experts.  Symposium Programme
