On the occasion of OXI day (October 28th), Dr. Leda Costaki, who processed the personal papers of novelist Stratis Myrivilis, was interviewed by ERT about Myrivilis's coverage of the Greco-Italian War of 1940, as a war correspondent. Myrivilis who had fought in the Balkan Wars, WW I, and the Greek-Turkish War of 1919-1922 was too old to participate as a soldier in 1940; nevertheless, he chose to be on the frontline with the soldiers so that he could document the war for the press. The Stratis Myrivilis Papers were donated to the Gennadius Library by the author's family in 1999.
