Jim and Nancy Demetriades host Technology Innovation Summit for the American School in Lake Tahoe
January 13, 2017
From January 12th-15th Jim and Nancy Demetriades will hosting the Technology Innovation Summit for the American School in Lake Tahoe, CA. The summit looks to lay the foundation for the creation of a Global Innovation Technology Program at the American School. Over a dozen presenters at the forefront of technology, innovation, and archaeological studies will speak on topics ranging from virtual reality to museum outreach.
Whether we are measuring column diameters at an excavation site, scrutinizing bone fragments in our lab, studying in one of our research libraries, or trekking to ancient ruins throughout Greece, the American School of Classical Studies at Athens is digging deeper into Greeceās past for a reason. We do so because we believe firmly that what we find can inspire, inform, and transform the society in which we live today. Today our work is more important than ever before. For not only do we continue to dig deep into the past, we have arrived at the precise moment in time when we can share our discoveries with the world without limit. Through new advances in technology, we can create a surge of knowledge, access, creativity, and experience never thought possible.
