The COVID-19 health crisis is presenting challenges that are unprecedented in our lifetime. Our thoughts and well wishes are with everyone who has been affected.

After careful consideration, and in light of the ongoing COVID-19 developments, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Gala once again. The event has now been rescheduled to Thursday, May 6, 2021, and will still be held at Gotham Hall in New York City.

The health and safety of our guests, employees, and partners remain our highest priority, so we believe that postponing the Gala is the only responsible course of action at this time. We are already focusing on making next May’s event even more spectacular, so please save the date and join us then to celebrate our two distinguished honorees, Edward E. Cohen and Curtis Runnels.

As the American School navigates this complex and ever-changing landscape, we want to take a moment to express our profound appreciation for your continued understanding, patience, and support. The Gala postponement will have a financial impact upon our revered institution, so we want to sincerely thank everyone who had already purchased tables and tickets for this year’s event. These purchases will automatically be applied to Gala 2021.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Nancy Savaides, Director of Stewardship and Engagement, at nsavaides@ascsa.org or 609-454-6810.

Despite the universal uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, the School still believes that together we can do extraordinary things. It always inspires us to see our communities and people collaborate on common causes, especially in times like these. Thank you again for your continued support, dedication, and encouragement.

We look forward to seeing you at next year’s Gala on May 6, 2021. Until then, please stay safe and healthy.
