Participating in the celebrations of the International Museum Day 2016, the Lyceum Club of Greek Women, the oldest women's club in Greece, and the Museum of the History of Greek Costume, in collaboration with the Archives of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, organized an event to honor the work of archaeologist and photographer Dorothy Burr Thomspon.
On May 10th, Natalia Vogeikoff-Brogan, the School's Archivist, delivered a lecture discussing the early years of Dorothy Burr in Greece and the ethnographic character of her photography. A selection of Dorothy Burr Thompson's photographs are on display at the Lyceum Club on Demokritou 14 until June 30th.
