Joel H. Rosenthal, president of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, and Stephen D. Hibbard, vice chairman of the Carnegie Council and a partner at Shearman & Sterling, visited the Gennadius Library on September 16th, 2015, in the company of GL Overseer Phaedon Tamvakakis. Our distinguished guests were received by Maria Georgopoulou, director of the Gennadius Library, and Natalia Vogeikoff-Brogan, head archivist of the ASCSA, who had prepared for viewing a selection of materials related to the mission and history of the Gennadius Library, including documents from the generous appropriation of the Carnegie Corporation to the American School in 1922 for the construction of the Gennadius Library.
