Director of the Gennadius Library Maria Georgopoulou, in New York City for the occasion of the Library’s Clean Monday Benefit at Molyvos, sat with Father Eugene Pappas of Hellenic Public Radio to discuss the history of the Gennadius Library and the life of John Gennadius, the significance of the Library, and the programs and excavations of the American School. Joining her on air was Molyvos chef Jim Botsacos, who prepared the Clean Monday lenten feast, and renowned cookbook author Diane Kochilas, who discussed Greek cuisine of the lenten season and her relationship with the Library.
