Book of Thomas Hope on Exhibition
The book of Thomas Hope, Outlines for my costume, from the Kyriazis Collection of the Gennadius Library, is on show in the exhibition “Thomas Hope: Regency Designer and Collector”, which opened at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (March 21 to June 22, 2008) and is now on view at the Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Art in New York (July 17 to November 26, 2008).
The book contains a collection of 97 drawings or preliminary sketches of ancient greek costume in the hand of Thomas Hope; it is dated to 1805.
