It was such a pleasant surprise to see Mike Tremonte again after 25 years. Mike and I were both regular members at the School in 1989-1990. Mike was one of the youngest students in the program since he had just graduated from Vassar College. At Vassar he had taken classes with Bob Pounder. Every summer that Bob came to use the School's Archives, I would ask him about Mike. I suspect that it was Bob who convinced Mike to take the big trip, this time with his wife Joanna. After giving them a tour of the School --Mike could not believe how much the School had changed since 1990- all four of us had a nice lunch at Omorfo reminiscing stories about the past. Mike and Joanna are travelling with friends in the Peloponnese and I just heard that they were visiting Pylos. Bruce King, another member of the 1989-1990 class, is among their travelling companions (unfortunately, I didn't get to see Bruce).
MikeTremonte is a partner and co-founder of Sher Tremonte LLP in New York.. Prior to establishing Sher Tremonte LLP, Mike was a partner at Cohen & Gresser LLP and served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. Joanna is a litigator and also works for Sher Tremonte LLP; she also serves as President of the Board of Trustees of the Hastings-on-Hudson Public Library. Finally, Bruce King teaches classics at NYU's Gallatin School of Indvidualized Study.
