American School of Classical Studies at Athens Heads to Florida
Since 2015, the American School of Classical Studies at Athens has increased its efforts to engage new audiences in the United States and around the world through the “Conversations with the American School” initiative. The program strives to share the topics, themes and people at the heart of the American School.
We are happy to announce that this week from February 21st through February 24th the American School of Classical Studies at Athens will travel to Florida to present “Conversations with the American School” in three different locations: Naples, Miami (Coral Gables) and Boca Raton. Each Conversation will begin with a general introduction of the history and impact of the American School and then delve deeper into a topic specific to the School’s mission. All three events are open to the public and will feature an opportunity to meet and learn from our former Director of the School, James C. Wright. In Boca Raton, our guests will also be able to meet former student and current professor at Florida State University, Erika Weiberg.
We look forward with great anticipation to these upcoming events and express our gratitude to our various hosts.
