Despite the economic downturn, the School’s Annual Appeal is doing relatively well. We have received, as of April 16, 2009, 321 gifts for $183,166 toward a $250,000 goal that is built into this year’s budget for general operating costs. This compares with 292 gifts and $166,800 last year at this time. Though smaller donations have increased in numbers, we have very few major gifts for the Appeal this year. We are especially grateful to The Goldsmith Foundation for a critical $25,000 gift. We need to raise about $67,000 before the end of June in order to avoid a deficit for this fiscal year. We are asking those who have not yet contributed to the School this year, to consider a gift to the Annual Appeal. The Annual Appeal proceeds from last year, for this year, and next year will be counted toward the Capital Campaign goal. You can make an online donation to the School appeal here.
