In observance of International Museum Day, the Gennadius Library is organizing the event “Poetry, Language and Revolution” (in Greek).
The unpredictable group Oper(O) presents a poetic recitation of the Dialogue of Dionysios Solomos within the framework of the Gennadius Library exhibit "Dionysios Solomos...two flames...Manolis Charos."
Musical improvisation: Kalliopi Gerakianaki. Will be read (in Greek) by: Prometheus Nerattini – Dokimakis, Ioanna Rampaouni, Irini Georgalaki.
Oper(O) was created in 2008 in Athens. The team consists of a core of acclaimed young artists, of different media -direction, art, musical composition, choreography, design- that come together for the creation of each performance. It is one of the first independent opera groups in Greece who dealt with opera and lyrical theatre, in search of a new, contemporary language; their aim being the creation of new performances and theatrical experiences about where opera and art in general stand in today’s society.
Free admission.
