Location
Cotsen Hall, Hybrid Lecture, Anapiron Polemou 9, Kolonaki 10676The Archives of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens and the Poets Circle present the closing ceremony of the 10th Athens World Poetry Festival and the Barbara Fields-Siotis Award Ceremony for 2024. The awardee is poet Alicia Stallings.
The 10th Athens World Poetry Festival of Poets Circle hosts 51 poets from 12 countries in nine different venues, which will house events full of poetry, music, images, and a poetry prize. At a time when the only place on planet Earth that remains free of conflict, violence, hunger, and pain is Antarctica, the 10th Athens World Poetry Festival aspires to turn Athens into a meeting point for those people who still have something to address to the Other and they still yearn to hear something from the Other. During the Festival we will hear the languages of many countries listening to the anxieties of the planet.
