Dr. Nadina Christopoulou, Co-Founder & Coordinator of Melissa Network, "Hand-Woven Bridges: Migrant Women Promoting Integration and Social Cohesion."

Today’s refugees could be tomorrow’s neighbours. In an increasingly interconnected world, paths cross and lives are intertwined. Integration is a challenge as well as an opportunity, and it is related to our vision of the society in which we want to live: a collection of isolated cells, or an open beehive of communication and exchange.  Melissa Network brings together migrant and refugee women from 45 countries, now living in Greece, promoting communication and empowerment through an innovative, community-based integration pathway. Its aim is to reverse negative stereotypes and replace them with positive role models, highlithing migrant women's contribution to social cohesion.
