About the E-Event:

The American School of Classical Studies at Athens' annual Open Meeting, postponed due to the pandemic, will be broadcast on Thursday, December 10th 10, 2020. in a new virtual format.

We invite you to join us and to learn about the School’s activities from the spring of 2019 to the fall of 2020, including:

    •     Adapting the Academic Program to a new format
    •     19 archaeological excavations, including the Athenian Agora and Ancient Corinth
    •     Recent publications
    •     New scientific discoveries from the Wiener Laboratory
    •     Exciting archival shows in the Makriyannis Wing’s exhibition gallery.

Like the other foreign schools, we have developed a robust program of scholarly webinars, which are now archived on our website at ascsa.edu.gr/webinars. To meet these challenging times, the School has had to adapt and innovate, but we continue to carry out our mission and to feel fortunate to be doing so in Greece.

Keynote speaker Jenifer Neils, the Director of the School, will be joined, for the first time during an Open Meeting, by members of the academic staff who will discuss the School’s diverse initiatives.
